দেশের ছয় বিভাগের অধিকাংশ জায়গায় এবং দুই বিভাগের অনেক জায়গায় মাঝারী ধরনের বৃষ্টিপাত বা বজ্রসহ বৃষ্টির সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে। এছাড়া সক্রিয় মৌসুমী বায়ুর প্রভাবে দেশের সকল সমুদ্র বন্দরকে ৩ নম্বর স্থানীয় সতর্ক সংকেত দেখাতে বলা হয়েছে।

বৃহস্পতিবার সকালে পরবর্তী ২৪ ঘণ্টার পূর্বাভাসে বলা হয়েছে, রংপুর, রাজশাহী, ঢাকা, খুলনা, বরিশাল ও চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগের অধিকাংশ জায়গায় এবং ময়মনসিংহ ও সিলেট বিভাগের অনেক জায়গায় অস্থায়ীভাবে দমকা বা ঝড়ো হাওয়াসহ হালকা থেকে মাঝারী ধরনের বৃষ্টিপাত বা বজ্রসহ বৃষ্টি হতে পারে। সেই সাথে দেশের কোথাও কোথাও মাঝারী ধরনের ভারী থেকে অতি ভারী বর্ষণ হতে পারে। আগামী দুই দিনে বৃষ্টি বা বজ্রসহ বৃষ্টি অব্যাহত থাকতে পারে। সপ্তাহের শেষ দিকে আবহাওয়ার সামান্য পরিবর্তন হতে পারে।এদিকে সারাদেশে দিনের তাপমাত্রা সামান্য কমতে পারে, অপরিবর্তিত থাকতে পারে রাতের তাপমাত্রা।

গতকাল সর্বোচ্চ তাপমাত্রা রেকর্ড করা হয়েছে সৈয়দপুরে ৩৪ দশমিক ৫ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস এবং সর্বনিম্ন তাপমাত্রা রেকর্ড করা হয়েছে ফেনীতে ২২ দশমিক ৫ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস।

গত ২৪ ঘন্টায় উল্লেখযোগ্য বৃষ্টিপাত হয়েছে হাতিয়ায় ১২৬ মিলিমিটার, সন্দ্বীপে ১০৩ মিলিমিটার, পটুয়াখালীতে ৮০ মিলিমিটার, কুতুবদিয়ায় ৫৬ মিলিমিটার, টেকনাফে ৪৫ মিলিমিটার, সীতাকুন্ডে ৫২ মিলিমিটার, রাজশাহীতে ৪৪ মিলিমিটার এবং ঈশ্বরদীতে ৪০ মিলিমিটার।

আবহাওয়ার সিনপটিক অবস্থা সম্পর্কে বলা হয়েছে, বিহার ও এর কাছাকাছি এলাকায় অবস্থানরত লঘুচাপটি মৌসুমী বায়ুর অক্ষের সাথে মিলেছে। মৌসুমী বায়ুর অক্ষের বাড়তি অংশ উত্তর প্রদেশ, বিহার, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ও বাংলাদেশের মধ্যাঞ্চল হয়ে আসাম পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত রয়েছে। এর একটি বাড়তি অংশ উত্তর বঙ্গোপসাগরে অবস্থান করছে। মৌসুমী বায়ু বাংলাদেশের উপর সক্রিয় এবং উত্তর বঙ্গোপসাগরে মাঝারী থেকে প্রবল অবস্থায় রয়েছে।

ঢাকায় আজ সূর্যোদয় হয়েছে ভোর ৫টা ১১ মিনিটে এবং সূর্যাস্ত সন্ধ্যা ৬টা ৪৮ মিনিটে।
